George Balanchine's The Nutcracker Portland Theatre reviews
Garth at Thunder Ridge
The amazing concert itself was great. We settled in with our snacks and beverages, got a great parking place and left home quite early. We were prepared as far as leaving the concert. We got to our car, settled in, had some dinner and visited for awhile. Getting out took us about 15-20 minutes to get to the highway. We are very active and healthy, there were 3 of us together. Walking hills, gravel etc was not a problem for any of else. Standing during the concert also was likewise not an issue. However, there were no provisions made for anyone with any disability. It would have been impossible to navigate and get to a spot with wheelchairs, walkers etc. There needs to be some provisions made for those folks who love George Balanchine's The Nutcracker as much we do but cannot negotiate hills, steps etc. Great concert in a facility that needs some real work done to it. Overall, I would give this experience a B.
